I started out working part time in a school kitchen while my children young, I went from an assistant to a manager and loved every minute of it. After 15 years of working my up through the school industry, I decided it was time to fulfil my dream! My oldest son had just setup his own business and he inspired me to take the leap. Combe Garden Centre had just opened, so my husband and I popped in to take a look. The 'coffeeshop' area was empty and from the minute I saw it, I knew this was the place to turn my dreams into reality. 6 months later, we had The Kitchen. My passion for patisserie has taken over in the last few years and now I make everything I can here at The Kitchen.
Get In TouchEventsIn 2019, Caitlin joined Kimberley to launch The Kitchen after transitioning from Corporate Insurance. She underwent fine dining training at The Jack in the Green during her summer before heading to university. Throughout her academic journey in college and university, Caitlin gained hands-on experience at various outside catering bars, events, and restaurants. Caitlin's diverse background in hospitality, customer service, and corporate insurance plays a key role in maintaining the seamless operation of The Kitchen behind the scenes.
